Life With The Divine

SADHANA EMPOWERMENT RETREAT: JUNE 30 - JULY 10, 2024

Join Beloved Sri Sakthi AMMA Narayani in this inaugural in-person ‘Life with the Divine’ retreat and receive Deeksha (empowerment initiation) into a daily spiritual practice and abhishekam puja. Devotees will have the profound opportunity to be initiated into these practices empowered by Beloved AMMA. Enjoy the devotional practices of yoga, pranayama, chanting, meditation, and abhishekham (ritual bathing of the deity) for a life with the Divine.

The retreat is open to all existing devotees and those who are new to meeting Beloved Sri Sakthi AMMA and wish to strengthen their connection to the Divine within.

DEEKSHA

Receive Initiation into Daily Spiritual Practice and Puja

AMMA’s intention for this retreat is to provide an opportunity for devotees to deepen their connection with the Divine through receiving spiritual practices empowered by AMMA and through their immersion in the retreat environment.

Participants will receive training in a daily yoga, pranayama, mantra, and mediation routine, as well as abhiskeham puja, the devotional practice of the ritual bathing of the deity. Retreat participants will receive Deeksha (empowerment initiation) from Beloved AMMA into these practices. The practices will be taught and established in the retreat environment, empowered by Beloved AMMA, and continued after the retreat as an ongoing sadhana (committed spiritual practice). A blessed Narayani murti (enlivened Narayani statue) will be bestowed upon devotees as a part of the initiation.

Deeksha means initiation or ignition. It means receiving a spark from the ‘great power.’ The soul of the Master acts as the spark which ignites the flame for the soul of the devotee.

DEEKSHA

Receiving Deeksha from a Master is already a profound blessing. However, receiving Deeksha directly from the Divine is a priceless grace.

Following the Deeksha (empowerment initiation), the devotees are required to maintain a 50-minute daily practice and once-weekly abhishekam puja when they return home to enjoy the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual blessings for a ‘Life with the Divine.’

Payment note: Please untick the "Add $90.82 to help cover our fundraising costs" box if you don't want to pay this money to Raisely. This money does NOT go to Narayani Peedam.

The Setting: Sri Narayani Peedam and Sripuram

Ladies' Holiday: Special Notes for Women
Amma provided advice during the retreat for the ladies' monthly period (ladies' holiday). It is a time of "detoxification happening monthly in women’s bodies” and when the pranas of the body are not conducive to intense spiritual energy. Going to temples and holy places is not permitted. The body is also very sensitive, so it is best to rest during this time.

Day 1-3 of menstruation: You can attend the Sadhana Practice and some service projects, but you cannot attend the temple complex or practice puja. Please keep these requirements in mind when you book for the retreat.

Full payment and registration are required before 21 June to secure your place in this retreat.

Registration places will be on a first-booked and paid basis - places are limited to 30 participants.
